Commentary
It is a permission for the Messenger (grace,
glory, blessings and peace be upon him) that if any believing woman desires to
give herself to the Messenger without demand of dowry, and the Messenger wishes
to marry her in such condition, he can do so.
After that, it is commanded: This permission of
marriage without dowry is only and particularly for the Messenger (grace,
glory, blessings and peace be upon him). Bear in mind that he (grace, glory,
blessings and peace be upon him) did never reap advantage from it practically.
It is commanded: For other Muslims are the same
instructions which We have prescribed according to Our Perfect Knowledge, that
is to say, they should marry after determining the dowry in the presence of the
witnesses according to rules. Moreover, they cannot keep more than four women
in their nuptial at a time also along with some terms and conditions. Like this,
particular orders concerning those disbelieving women who are captivated in
war, have been mentioned at their proper places for them.
Clear and open rules and regulations of everything
exist in Islam. There is no blame on him who follows those instructions. Like this,
Allaah Almighty has bestowed some privileges to the Messenger (grace,
glory, blessings and peace be upon him) which are lawful for him to be availed.
His such act will be according to law.
