Guidance is for them whom Allah wills

Chapter “FAATIR’” - (The Creator) - 35

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.

 (I seek refuge in Allaah from Satan the outcast)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.
(In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

 أَفَمَن زُيِّنَ لَهُۥ سُوٓءُ عَمَلِهِۦ فَرَءَاهُ حَسَنًا فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُضِلُّ مَن يَشَآءُ وَيَهْدِى مَن يَشَآءُ فَلَا تَذْهَبْ نَفْسُكَ عَلَيْهِمْ حَسَرَٰتٍ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلِيمٌۢ بِمَا يَصْنَعُونَ 8  

                                       

8.  Is he, the evil of whose deeds is made fair-seeming unto him so that he deemeth it good, (other than Satan’s dupe)? Allah verily sendeth whom He will astray, and guideth whom He will; so let not thy soul expire in sighings for them. Lo! Allah is Aware of what they do!

8.  ‘Afaman  zuyyina  lahuu  suuu-‘u  ‘amalihii  fara-‘aahu  hasanaa.  Fa-‘innAllaaha  Yu-zillu  many-yashaaa-‘u  wa  Yahdii  many-yashaaa’.  Falaa  tazhab  nafsuka  ‘alayhim  hasaraat.  ‘InnAllaaha  ‘Aliimum-  bimaa  yasna-‘uun.

Commentary

Before this verse, the people were warned that Promise of Allaah Almighty is true. You should believe in it and should not forget Allaah Almighty due to being involved in worldly affairs. Satan has been lurking you. Be careful from his tricks. He desires to mislead most of the people and cast all of them into the Hell.

It has been commanded in this verse: Such type is the creation of the world that as good people will live on the land; the wrongdoers will live here also. Allaah Almighty sends the people astray who are entrapped by Satan. But those who incline to Allaah Almighty, He guides them. The work of Satan is to show the evil deeds by his forgery as good deeds. Those people begin to consider that wicked deeds are good who are deluded by the Devil. These are the people who go away from that Path which has been fixed according to the established order. But can such people be equal of those to whom Allaah Almighty has saved fortunately from wrong deeds?

While this is the situation; then now O Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace of Allaah be upon him)! You should not grieve for the people who went astray, but explain before them about the Straight Path by your word and work. Then if they go astray, let them go. Allaah Almighty is the Knower of their every movement. He will give punishment to the wrongdoers and grant good reward to the righteous people according to His Promise.
