Acquiring gain depends upon own ability

Chapter Naml”- (The Ant) - 27

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in Allaah from Satan the outcast)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

(In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

40b.  And when he saw it set in his presence, (Solomon) said: This is of the Bounty of my Lord, that He may try me whether I give thanks or am ungrateful. And whosoever giveth thanks he only giveth thanks for (the good of) his own soul; and whosoever is ungrateful (is ungrateful only to his own soul’s hurt). For lo! my Lord is Absolute in Independence, Bountiful.

Commentary

Prophet Solomon (peace be upon him) saw that the Throne of Bilquiis had been kept before his Throne within a moment. After looking so much great Kindness of Allaah Almighty upon own condition he (peace be upon him) gave thanks to Him and said: This is from the Favor of my Lord only that He showed an incomparable Miracle of His Divine Power by lifting up the curtain of apparent reasons. There is a test of mine in it that whether I give thanks due to His so much great Blessing or am ungrateful by forgetting it and become boastful that I am a great person, my companions can perform for me so much great works so easily?

Then he (peace be upon him) said: Omnipotence of Allaah Almighty is not bound of apparent reasons. As His Command is executed by the creatures, which are bound of time and place, like this; time and place also abide by His Commandment. He can expand and shrink each of them as He desires. Nothing can disobey His Commandment. It is good for that who gives thanks of His Favors. Its good fruit will be given to the individual. Allaah Almighty has no concern with thankfulness of anybody. He is The Generous Who makes works of all by His Kindness. Who will be thankful to Him, will be given good reward of thanks and who will be ungrateful, will grieve in future because he lost a great chance of making good relationship with Allaah Almighty.

In the contents of the story of Prophet Solomon (peace be upon him), one great matter is being caused to understand to the human being that what is given to him, is given by Allaah Almighty. He should remain grateful to Allaah Almighty every time. In it; there is goodness for the mankind. Those who forget The Real Benefactor, and look upon themselves or any other, they have been involved in very severe error.
