Commentary

The Queen of Sheba understood from “the Stamp upon the letter, sent by Prophet Solomon (peace be upon him), way of its safety and splendor of its composition” etc. that this letter was sent by any great and powerful King who had dignity. She said addressing to her Courtiers: Advise me in this affair that what I should do. You know my habit that I don’t decide in any great and important matter until you witness for me, and I wait for your counseling.

Her Counselors answered: As we are physically strong, we have war equipment too. We are not those who step back in War. We are able to puzzle the enemy. You should not be under pressure of anyone. You have authority to decide after thinking deeply. We are ready to obey you.

The Queen was satisfied that her people were not in fear of any other. They were ready to fight everyone for her. But she was intelligent and thoughtful concerning the consequence. She did not consider it suitable to fight in hurry. She had understood from the words of the letter and its way of description that “it does not seem that he {Prophet Solomon (peace be upon him)} is only a powerful King. He (peace be upon him) has some extraordinary power also. Therefore, thinking about war immediately will not be suitable”.
