Commentary

Khubran – it aims “the knowledge in detail, which contains entire (little or great) information”.

Kazaalika – it means “it happened in the East also as it happened in the West”.

It has been described in these verses: He got ready to journey after that and then; turned unto the East. At the end of his journey, here also he saw some such people who used to live like animals. They did neither have even huts for dwelling, nor any kind of equipment for safety from the sun-shine. They used to cover by chance their bodies half-dressed. Rays of sun used to fall upon their bodies without any hindrance.

In the East too, Dhu’l-Qarneyn helped these people as much as he could, and he taught them living like mankind by advice, admonition, wealth and strength etc.

It is commanded that these are the circumstances of good-natured Alexander, which are required to be known to common people, because for them; very useful advice comes out from it that to whom Allah Almighty has graced more than others in any matter; he should help the inferior people to him in all matters by admonition, wealth and power; which may be easy for him.

Any thing is not given to a person more than the other that he should use it only for himself. Allah Almighty commands: Although We know all circumstances concerning Dhu’l-Qarneyn but you have been informed about only those matters which are useful for you.
