Commentary

It was commanded: You also admit it that your Provider of the means of subsistence is Allaah Almighty. After that, the difference among you and us is that after agreeing to the same, we believe that there is no partner of Him in any matter. But you say: Nay, He has partners. Now either you are true or we. While one group from both of us is true then certainly opposite to that one, the other is liar and astray. Mind your own business. We have described you clear proofs concerning it that “God (Allaah) is One”. If even then you wish to stand firm on your perverseness, then you should bear in mind that entire human beings will be asked in the Hereafter concerning their conduct. And it will be interrogated from every individual: Why did you do that what you did? Neither you will be asked concerning our conduct and nor we shall be responsible of your deeds. Our Lord will gather all of us at one place and then He will judge between us in truth that who went astray?

He is Well Aware of our entire real circumstances and He is the All-Knowing Judge. Bring them before us to whom you associate with Allaah Almighty, so that we also may see that what power they have. We know that lifeless idols and helpless entities cannot be equal of That Allaah Almighty Who is the Most Powerful and the Knower of all secrets. Give up such groundless thoughts! None can be Lord and Deity of any individual save Allaah Almighty.
