Quran Chapter 34: 23 (Pt-22, Stg-5) (L-2645) درس قرآن

The Lord says always “the Truth”

Chapter “SABAA’” - (Saba) - 34

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in Allaah from Satan the outcast)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

(In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

23.  No intercession availeth with Him save for him whom He permitteth. Until when fear is banished from their hearts, they say: What was it that your Lord said? They say: The Truth. And He is the Subllime, the Great.
23.  Wa  laa  tanfa-‘ush-shafaa-atu  ‘indaHuuu  ‘illaa  liman  ‘azina  laH.  Hattaaa  ‘izaa  fuzzi-‘a  ‘an-  quluubihim  qaaluu  maa-zaa,  qaala  Rabbukum.  Qaalul-Haqq.  Wa  Huwal-‘Aliyyul-Kabiir.

Commentary

Fuzzi-‘a – (terror is removed, fear is banished), it is past tense in passive voice from the word tafzii-‘un, which has been derived from faza-‘un. Faza-‘un means “fear, terror and restlessness”. Tafzii-‘un means “to remove restlessness”.

It is commanded: Before the glory, greatness and magnificence of Allaah Almighty, no one is able to say a word. While they also are downcast before Him who have great degrees, then what these lifeless idols can do? Even the Angels (peace be upon them) too cannot speak before Him in favor of any individual. They also can do only those works; for which they are permitted. They produce the circumstances before Allaah Almighty according to His Orders and then they remain in waiting for His Commandment. After that, when the Commandment is revealed; then they tremble due to fear from the Sound of His magnificence and greatness, and fall prostrate.

After that, when influence of terror and fear is removed from their hearts by the Command of Allaah Almighty, then those Angels (peace be upon them) who are at lower stage, ask from them who are at upper stage: What Commandment has been issued by Allaah Almighty? They say: "The truth and that which is quite right."

Allaah Almighty is the Most High in ranks and the Grandest in dignity. Our duty is to obey His every commandment. While it is the condition of the chosen Angels (peace be upon them) then why should all of us not fear Him?
