‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in Allaah from Satan the outcast)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

(In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

3.  The adulterer shall not marry save an adulteress or an idolatress, and the adulteress none shall marry her save an adulterer or an idolater. And all that is forbidden unto Believers.
3.  ‘Az-zaanii  laa  yankihu  ‘illaa  zaaniyatan  ‘aw  mushrikatanw-waz-zaaniyatu  laa  yankihu-haaa  ‘illaa  zaanin  ‘aw  mushrik.  Wa  hurrima  zaalika  ‘alal-  Mu’-miniin.

Commentary

It is commanded: Only adulteress woman will like to marry the man who has been habituated of fornication because she herself is habitual of the same. Any chaste and modest woman will never agree to marry any fornicator. And any undefiled man will never like to marry any unchaste woman. However if before marriage, adulterer and adulteress repent from adultery and determine that they will never commit this bad work in future, then in their marrying; it is of no consequence.

Believer man or woman should never keep violation of the marriage-bed with any other man or woman even after marriage. Purpose of the marriage is that one should be saved from adultery. Any bashful man will never like that his wife has any relationship with any third person, and nor any chaste woman will bear that her husband has unlawful relationship with any other woman.

In the Arab, some indigent men used to marry shameless women due to poorness, so that they may fulfill their requirements by their earnings of adultery. Islam prevented from this wantonness and immodesty and determined that this act is below the level of humanity.

Like this, any self-restraining woman will never like to marry any adulterer. However if both of them are shameless and have been involved in moral lowness, then it is another matter.

Commentary

It is commanded: Punishment for adulterer and adulteress has been fixed one hundred stripes for each of the both according to Religious and Legislative Law. And which way of living in the world Allaah Almighty has determined for the mankind, with regard to that, punishing to such criminals is compulsory. Therefore, when the criminal act is proved, then no argument or trick for forgiving the punishment can be acceptable. No one should feel pity for any of the criminals and nor any person should show any favor due to their wealth, property, influence or relationship. If you believe in Allaah Almighty and in the Day of Resurrection, then you should give punishments; prescribed by Allaah Almighty in the world to the wrongdoers without hesitation, favor and partiality. The offenders should not be punished secretly but before the people, because it is necessary to warn them that such evildoers will be whipped before the entire people publicly, that haply they avoid doing such works, by looking their punishment and disgrace.

Common punishment of fornication has been described in this verse. Vile act as adultery can be committed by unmarried male and female only. After marriage, it cannot be thought in Islamic Society. Therefore, if any married man or woman has been involved in such kind of error, it would be unusual and rare condition and its punishment also would be more severe.

1.  (Here is) a Suurah which We have revealed and enjoined, and wherein We have revealed clear injunctions that haply ye may take heed.

2a.  The adulterer and the adulteress, scourge ye each one of them (with) a hundred stripes.
1.  Suuratun  ‘anzalNaahaa  wa  farazNaahaa  wa  ‘anzalNaa  fiihaaa  ‘Aayaatim-  Bayyinaatil-la-‘allakum  tazakkaruun.

2a.  ‘Az-zaaniyatu  wazzaanii  faj-liduu  kulla  waahidim-minhumaa  mi-‘ata  jaldah.

Commentary

FarazNaa – We enjoined), this is in past tense from the word faraza, which means “to make someone liable to do some work”. This word has been used at several places. The word farzun has also some more meanings, and it is used for the meaning “to be old” too as the word faarizun (the old person), which has passed in Chapter two.

This Chapter has been started in such a way that from its beginning words, its importance falls in drops. It is commanded: This is the Chapter which has been revealed by Us. And there are such commandments mentioned in it, obedience of which is compulsory for the people. Its verses are very clear and understanding the meanings of these commandments is not too much difficult. By paying a little attention, its meanings become clear and the aim is manifested.

Before coming down of this Chapter, one such woeful incident had happened, by which there was a threat of happening strong confusion in the ease and comfort of collective life. Therefore, the splendor has been filled in its words. And the people have been prevented from bad habits in its very weighty word; so that the people may take heed in these words always. And they should escape from evil deeds. There is no more harmful thing than adultery for collective life and correct society. It ruins the modesty and it is the forerunner of the end of human dignity. The nation, which does not have modesty, is at a great distance from the dignity of humanity. It has been commanded that you should whip severely to every adulterer and adulteress with one hundred stripes.

Punishment of unlawful relationships - Quran Chapter 24: Intro (Pt-18, Stg-4) (L-2193) درس قرآن

Quran Chapter 24: Intro (Pt-18, Stg-4) (L-2193) درس قرآن

Punishment of unlawful relationships

Chapter Nuur” – (Light) - 24

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in Allaah from Satan the outcast)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

(In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

In accordance with the series, this is twenty fourth Chapter of Holy Qur’an, which contains nine Sections. It was revealed in Madinah. It was named Suratun-Nuur because there is mention in it concerning the Light of Allaah Almighty, which shines in those neat and clean houses; in which mention of Allaah Almighty is remembered every time. All verses of this Chapter were revealed in Madinah. Ways of keeping domestic and collective life pure and chaste have been described in it. Punishment of unlawful sexual relationships has been prescribed. Law of punishment about spreading evil thoughts on account of doubt and suspicion concerning the women of chaste families has been explained. Difficulty of the husband, who accuses to his wife of un-chastity, has been solved. During the fifth year after flight from Makkah to Madinah, at the occasion of the Battle of Bani Abdul-Mustalaq, some hypocrite people began to spread groundless suspicion concerning Aaishah (may Allaah be pleased with her). Devilish conjectures did their work and some Muslims too began to stagger in this connection.

The mountain of grief and sadness was broken over Aaishah (may Allaah be pleased with her). Messenger of Allaah Almighty (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) had been suffering from deep thought and his mind was surrounded by abundant uneasiness. Common Muslims had also been entangled in confusion. At last some verses of this Chapter were revealed during those days, in which such people were rebuked who did spread the suspicion and the Muslims were instructed that they should escape from suspicions concerning selected slaves of Allaah Almighty; otherwise they will be punished very severely. Evidence regarding acquittal and chastity of Aaishah (may Allaah be pleased with her) was recorded in the verses of Holy Qur’an for always. Muslim men and women were instructed that they should adopt chaste life, and its way was explained. Convenience of remarrying was caused to understand to the widows. Manners of keeping the Islamic society pure from depravities, suspicions and stupid matters have been described in it.

Then it was commanded: Beauty of the earth and the heavens is by the means of the Light of Allaah Almighty; otherwise there is nothing save the darkness. You should praise your Creator and be engaged wholeheartedly in His obedience. It has been promised with the Muslims in this Chapter that empire of the earth will be bestowed to them, so that they may get opportunity of spreading blessings and excellences of Islam in the world. Moreover, way of dwelling altogether mutually has been narrated. And it has been instructed that they should respect the Messenger of Allaah Almighty (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) and behave with him politely.

Hearty condition of the Believer - Quran Chapter 23: Review (Pt-18, Stg-4) (L-2192) درس قرآن

Quran Chapter 23: Review (Pt-18, Stg-4) (L-2192) درس قرآن

Hearty condition of the Believer

Chapter Mu’-minuun” – (The Believers) - 23

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in Allaah from Satan the outcast)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

(In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

On previous lesson, Suratul-Mu’-minuun (Lessons from Chapter twenty three) went to an end. Now we should think concerning those treasures which have been filled in it and what should we learn from it. First point which has been described in this Chapter is that success and well being will be for those people who will believe. Belief is not only the name of verbal claim, but that is a hearty condition, due to which some following habits become prominent:

1.  Greatness and awe of Allaah Almighty, by which silence and humility can be produced in the prayer.

2.  Abstinence from useless matters as spam sports, useless debates, fights and disputes etc.

3.  Paying the poor-due properly.

4.  Safety of private parts, so that any shameful sin is not committed. Sensual wishes should be fulfilled only according to the Divine Way of Religion, and no one should cross its lines.

5.  Bearing the trust in mind and fulfilling mutual agreements.

6.  Prayer should be offered timely and regularly.

These are Signs of Belief. Those Believers who will abide by these instructions, they will be successful in the world and on the Day of Resurrection.

After that, it was commanded: Having Belief in Allaah Almighty is foundation of all good habits which is not too much difficult. Birth of human being, arrangements for his food and drinkables, growing of various kinds of grains, fruits and vegetables, mankind’s possession over the cattle and other animals – such entire things open the windows of the sense of a person who thinks that Allaah Almighty is Rightful. Seasonal changing condition of the earth, its dearth in the beginning and then freshness after raining, and another life of the mankind after death - are sufficient for producing the Belief. Moreover, for the guidance of the human sense, the Prophets (peace be upon them) came in the world, whose work was to teach the mankind about chaste life, doing good works and harmony.

After that, it has been explained that in the world, having belief in Allaah Almighty, His Prophets (peace be upon them) and the Day of Resurrection, doing good works, escaping from tyrannizing over anyone is the straight path. By choosing this path, a mankind can be successful in the both worlds. Ascribing plurality to Allaah Almighty is portent of ill-fortune and it breaks the right subject. Anguish of Allaah Almighty comes in the world due to wicked deeds of the human being. The Believers should seek protection from the wrath of Allaah Almighty.

Abode of idolaters and disbelievers will be Hell in the Hereafter. At the end, it has been described to the mankind that he has not been created useless in the world. He will not be sent back again in this world. The people should do now whatever they wish to do, otherwise they will grieve. At the end of the chapter, it has been caused to hear the decision that the Infidels will never prosper. You should pray for Allaah’s forgiveness and His mercy.

Commentary

It is commanded: Glory of Allaah Almighty be Exalted from it that He gave much power to the mankind and authorized him to use it, not for only making him a toy, but he has been made responsible for his deeds and answerable before his Lord in the life after death. Whatsoever anybody has done, will enjoy or suffer from the consequence of his worldly deeds. Remember it! The True King is Allaah Almighty. There is none save Him who may have full power and who may bring up all living beings without partnership of any other. Worship is only for Him and only He Alone is the Worshiped. He Alone is the Owner of the greatest Throne of the entire universe. The person, who will bow before any other also along with Him and who will deem that someone else is Worshiped too along with Allaah Almighty, he is obstinate and has been following own groundless thoughts. He has no proof of it that someone other is also god along with Allaah Almighty. Reckoning of his worldly deeds will be only with his True Lord, Allaah Almighty.

The people who have denied Allaah Almighty in the world, certainly they will be empty handed on the Day of Resurrection. Deliverance and success will not be for such kind of people. They will not be able to describe its reason before Allaah Almighty that why had they been flattering others instead of Him? Why did they not find that their Creator, their Lord and their Owner is Allaah Almighty? However, you should leave them on their state and say always: My Lord! Forgive and have mercy, for You are Best of all who show mercy!
