Commentary
‘Al-‘ajdaasun – (the graves), this word is
plural from jadasun, which also is used for “the grave”.
Yansiluuna – (they will hie, they will hasten),
origin of this word is nasalun, naslaanun means “to walk fast and
run”.
Earlier; it was commanded: What do you ask concerning the Day of
Judgment. It will come suddenly when it will have to come. And you will hear a
harsh screech when it will come and every living creature will die at the spot.
The people will have neither any time to reach their home and nor to say
something to someone else. The entire world will be perished including the
heaven, the earth, the mountains, the stars, the sun and the moon etc.
In this verse, it is commanded: After a long time, when Allaah
Almighty will desire, the Trumpet will be blown again, and the entire human
beings will come back to life after death, stand up from their graves or where
ever they would exist, and run towards the Field of Resurrection for being
present before Allaah Almighty. They will be senseless due to fear. State
of first death will seem to them like comfortable sleep; contrary to this
confusion and they will say: Ah! By which calamity we have been overtaken? Who
did shake and recall us from our bed-rooms? Their senses and Angels (peace be
upon them) will give them answer: It is the same Field of Judgment for which the Most Merciful (Allaah Almighty) had
promised. And that News, which was conveyed by the Messengers (peace be upon
them), was quite true.
