5. Never cometh there
unto them a fresh reminder from the Beneficent One, but they turn away from
it.
6. Now they have denied
(the Truth); but there will come unto them tidings of that whereat they used
to scoff.

Commentary
‘Ambaaa-‘un – (tidings), this word is plural of nabaa-‘un,
which has come out from the word naba’. It means “information, news,
report”. Nabaa-‘un means “news, an incident of high dignity”. Here it
aims “worse result of scoffing the Revelations of Holy Qur’an”, that is
to say, they will be suffering from disgrace and infamy in the world very soon;
and tormented severely on the Day of Resurrection.
It is commanded: O Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace
be upon him): You should not torment yourself in the grief of these people. We
have been examining them; otherwise We can straighten them without any delay. If
We willed, We would have shown them any such terrible scene that the necks of
all of them would have bowed with humility and being helpless. But We do not
wish to compel them for acceptance. However, We send down such portents
certainly from time to time, which they can comprehend by using their sense. Those
of them who are intelligent, they shall believe certainly after comprehending
these portents. These portents are Prophets (peace be upon them), Scriptures of
Allaah Almighty and sceneries of His Omnipotence. Alas! They do not use
their sense and ignore the portents after looking them ordinarily. Not only
they evade but scoff His Revelations and jest. Are such people able of it that
you torment yourself in their grief? No! You should convey the Message only and
do not torment yourself in their grief. That Truth will be manifested upon them
very soon; of which they have been mocking. Therefore, in the first Battle (the
Battle of Badr) their all brave people were slain and the remaining were
disgraced. Torment of the Doomsday will be in addition.
