Outsider Confident

LESSON # 413 FROM HOLY QUR’AN
Outsider Confident
Surah ‘Aali ‘Imran (The Family Of ‘Imran, Chapter - 3)
Verse –118 of 200, Section –12    (Part – 4)

O ye who believe! Take not for intimates others than your own folk, who would spare no pains to ruin you; they love to hamper you. Hatred is revealed by (the utterance of) their mouths, but that which their breasts hide is greater. We have made clear for you the Revelations if ye will understand.
Yaaa-‘ayyu-hallaziina  ‘aamanuu  laa tatta-khizuu  bitaanatam-min-  duunikum  laa  ya’-luunakum  kha-baalaa. Wadduu  maa  ‘anittum. Qad  badatil-bagzaaa-‘u  min  ‘afwaa-hihim. Wa  maa  tukhfii  suduu-ruhum  ‘akbar. Qad  bayyannaa  lakumul-‘Aayaati  ‘in-  kuntum  ta’-qiluun.

Lesson

In connection with the purpose to reveal this verse, description about both the groups i.e. the Jews and the Hypocrites has been mentioned. This narration has been written about the first mentioned group, that before Islam, those Muslims who had friendly relations with the Jews based on the neighborhood, remained as usual they were even after Islam. Trusting in their friendship, the Muslims used to tell them also some confidential matters/suggestions.

About the Hypocrites, it is narrated that considering them as Muslims, usually the Believers did not use to be careful from them and used to tell them their (Muslims) secrets. Likewise, fear of severe loss used to remain from them.

To save the Muslims from the evil of Jews and Hypocrites, here it has been told clearly that the Muslim should not take for intimates others than the Muslims, because no group is well-wisher of the Muslims, either they are Jews or Christians, Hypocrites or Idolaters. Nevertheless, these people remain in endeavor always to harm the Muslims, involve them in the religious and worldly mischief. They become happy when the Muslims remain in difficulty and calamity.

Allah Almighty says that the enmity and hatred, which their breasts hide, is greater. Usually they love to hamper you. Sometimes their feelings of suffocation and hatred are revealed by the utterance of their mouths, which provide their deep enmity clearly. Their tongues do not remain in their control due to rivalry and jealousy. Therefore, a wise person should not take such distrustful enemies for his/her intimates.
