29b.  lo!  We have prepared for disbelievers Fire; its tent encloseth them. And if they ask for showers, they will be showered with water like to molten lead which burneth the faces. Calamitous the drink and ill the resting-place.

Commentary

‘A’-tadNaa – (We prepared), it is past tense from the word ‘a’-taadun, origin of which is ‘a-ta-da. ‘Ataad is “the things which are required to do any work”. ‘A’-taad –collecting such things. Here; it aims “We have prepared Fire to torment them”.

Suraadiqu – (the wall of curtain), it is a singular which is used for a screen, a complete tent or the wall of the tent. Its plural is suraadiqaat.

Muhlun – (dregs of any conduit), black dregs which sits in the bottom of the olive oil etc. in Arabic language that is called “hal”. Moreover, pus is also called by the same name. The thing, if someone looks its condition or form, he feels disgust.

Yashwii – (burning act), this word has been derived from sh-w-ii-, shawii means “to fry, to parch, to burn, to roast – as vegetable is roasted”.

Murtafaqun – (resting-place), this word has come out from ‘irtafaaq, origin of which is rafaqa. Rafaqa means “softness, ease, convenience”. ‘Irtafaaq and murtafaq means “to get all sorts of comfort”.

It is commanded: We have kindled a Fire for disbelievers, all around of which; a screen of the same has been fixed. The people, who disbelieve, will be burnt and tormented into it. If they will ask for quenching thirst and beg for water, then boiling water will be showered upon them; form of which will be as the dregs of oil or pus; and which will scorch their mouths as soon as they will drink it. It is very difficult to explain that condition. So we should consider that; that drink will be very calamitous and that Bonfire will be worst as an abode.
