Commentary
It is commanded: Answer to the ignorant people that He will give
life to the old bones Who produced them the first time. If you or someone else
cannot reproduce them; then how from it would be understood that Allaah
Almighty also cannot revive them?
You should never compare between unlimited knowledge and power
of Allaah Almighty and the knowledge and power of creatures. The human
beings fabricate idols from clay or by carving stones, but they do not know
that how the idols should be brought to life; so that those may do according to
their desire after coming to life. As Allaah Almighty can prepare frames
(bodies) from the matter, He can produce souls also and then He knows to put
the souls into the bodies too for bringing them to life. He has Divine Power of
producing and reproducing everything. Only He is Who created Matter, prepared
souls and then made living creatures of all sorts and kinds by the collection
of those both things. You will be able to understand Allaah Almighty at
that time when you will meditate in the verses of Holy Qur’an and listen
to the Sayings of Our Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace of Allaah
be upon him) wholeheartedly.
Those people talk about such things who do not see above the
world of apparent reasons. Their sense has been surrounded in a little circle.
They consider that they are finished perpetually after their apparent death.
They do not believe in the life of the Day of Resurrection after death,
reckoning of every individual’s personal deeds, reward and punishment of the
Hereafter. In Arab, a man named Waas son of ‘Aayl discussed with
the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace of Allaah be upon him)
in this matter. He caught an old bone with his hand, rubbed and dispersed it,
and then he said: Who now can give it life? These verses were revealed at that
occasion.
