Commentary
Faakihuuna – {they will
be amused in (joyful) occupation, they are happily employed}, this word is plural of faakihatun, which is
the Subject from fakaha. Fakaha means “amusement”. The words fakihun
and faakihatun have also been derived from the same which means “Fruit
of all kinds eating which makes the nature happy”.
It was commanded previously: Reward or
punishment will be given to every individual according to personal deeds. No one
should consider that his/her deeds would never be checked. Thinking so is wrong
because there is a Law for the mankind, in accordance with which they have to live
in this world. If they will break the Law; they will be punished, but if they
will abide by the Rules and Regulations; then good reward of their good deeds will
be given to them. And the followers of the Law will go to the Paradise after
death. In this verse, there is mention concerning them.
It is commanded: On the Day of Resurrection,
those people will be very happy whose abode will be in the Paradise. They will converse
with one another pleasantly and be amused in joyful occupation. They and their
wives will be sitting in shade, reclining on adorned couches. All kinds of
delicious fruit will be placed before them. Everything, required to them, will
be provided to them immediately. They will neither have to cry for servants and
nor have to wait for anything. Besides these bodily pleasures, their Lord will
say to them “Peace” for their spiritual comfort and satisfaction. They will be so
much happy at that time.
