Power of man-made gods
Chapter “YAA-SIIIN” - (YASIN) – 36
‘A-‘uu-zu Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in Allaah
from Satan the outcast)
Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.
(In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

لَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ نَصْرَهُمْ وَهُمْ لَهُمْ جُندٌ مُّحْضَرُونَ 75
فَلَا يَحْزُنكَ قَوْلُهُمْ 76a
|
75. It is not in their
power to help them; and they (the worshippers) will be brought before Us as
army of them (false gods).
76a. So let not their
speech grieve thee (O Muhammad).

75. Laa yastatii-‘uuna nasrahum
wa hum lahum
jundum- muhzaruun.
76a. Falaa yahzunka
qawluhum.

Commentary
Jundun – (army),
It is commanded: These ignorant people have fabricated their
imaginary gods and are hopeful that those will help them in the times of adversity.
They should know it clearly that while their self-made gods cannot help even themselves
then how those can help their adorers. Those entire themselves are needy of the
help of Allaah Almighty at every step. In the world, these people have
been assembled around their false deities and every group supports fully to own
self-made god and they do not like to hear even one word against their gods.
They present many precious things in sacrifice upon them and consider foolishly
that their (these) deities have been providing them everything and help them
during the times of calamities, whereas those do not have any power to help any
other. When they will need actual help on the Day of Resurrection, then their
every group will desire that their false deities should support them at That Time.
Adorers of every false deity will come arrested like defeated army. They will
be said (on That Day): Say to your self-fabricated gods that they should save
you from the wrath of Allaah Almighty.
Their all false deities will refuse and say: We were never their
gods and nor we ever said that they should accept us as their gods. We do not
have any connection with them. They should suffer for what they did. At that
time, condition of infidels, disbelievers and idolaters will be worst.
After that, it is commanded: O Our Messenger (grace, glory,
blessings and peace of Allaah be upon him)! You should not be grieved
from the speech of these ignorant people. They do not use their sense. At last
they will repent.
