Commentary
This verse has
passed during the mention of the Children of Israel in Suratul-Baqarah (Chapter-2)
and Suratul-‘A’-raaf (Chapter-7), and it has been explained there.
Here, it has been represented again in this connection that “how Moses (peace
be upon him) performed His duty being a Messenger of Allah Almighty?” The
Children of Israel had been suffered very much by Pharaoh. They were molested
every time due to very little reasons. Any nation cannot keep up her moral
balance if she is generally oppressed and tyrannized.
Therefore,
Messenger Moses (peace be upon him) had to do two works:
·
Remove the fear of Pharaoh and his
folk “Qabt” from the hearts of the Children of Israel.
·
Infuse fear of Allah Almighty in
their hearts and teach them “how to be hopeful of His Mercy”, that is to say,
fearing God Almighty and hoping from Him are greatest elixirs for correctness
of morality and spiritual improvement.
