For believing – sense is sufficient

Lesson # 709 From Holy Qur’aan
For believing – sense is sufficient

Surah ‘Al-‘An-‘aam (Cattle) – Chapter – 6)–Stage - 2

Verse – 36 of 165, Section – 4 of 20 (Part ½ of - 7)

BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim

In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Only those can accept who hear. And as for the dead, Allaah will raise them up; then unto Him they will be returned.
‘Innamaa  yastajii-bul-laziina  yasma-‘uun.  Wal-mawtaa  yab-‘asu-humUllaahu  summa  ‘ilayhi  yurja-‘uun.

Lesson

This verse is an explanation of that Natural Law, towards which, it was signified in the previous verse. That is to say; “it is not the purpose to make everyone Believer by force”. If Allaah Almighty had wished, He would not have made the minds of entire human beings separate for everyone. Also, He would have made all together in such manner that none might be gone astray but the Straight Path. Nobody would have been given the power of choice.

It is evident that the person, whose heart inclines towards the desires of the world, will never believe, whether he/she is admonished as much as possible. The desires make the ears of the human being hard of hearing. He/she hears nothing but only the word of his own interest. He/she is slave of his/her own business and lives for it only. The ears of such dead people will be opened only on the Day of Resurrection, but then, it will be useless for them.

It is useful if that message and command of Allaah Almighty is obeyed in the world, which His Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) has caused to hear in the world i.e. Holy Qur’aan and His Sayings. If they did neither accept nor obey then after death, certainly they will be set before Allaah Almighty by bringing them to life. Everything will be evident over them. But that Day’s belief will be useless. They would have to suffer for the disobedience, which they committed in the world. Engage your attention in the meaning of this verse keeping it under consideration.

It is commanded: Don’t desire from the people with expectation that they will obey you, because only those people will obey you, whose ears have not been closed by their desires. Those persons, who have shut up their ears from listening to the Truth and taken no account of it, they have been as dead and gone. As if they were dead from all other directions in spite of that thing, which took their heart, and they will die keeping their impure worldly wishes in their hearts. And then they will be raised again after bringing to life and set before Allaah Almighty.

At that time, their ears will be opened fully and properly. There is an answer to an evasion of the disbelievers, which they used to say to the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him): You would have such clear tokens that nobody may deny them. Summary of the answer is: If you wish to believe, believe by observing only these tokens, which are in front of you. The verses of Holy Qur’aan are brightest and most clear tokens of them. These are the verses, in which the attention has been drawn towards those entire Revelations, which have been spread in the whole world. If you desire more clear Revelations than these, then this world will not remain only “The Place of Test”. Believing in the Revelations will become compulsory.
