Guidance and mercy for people who believe

Suratun-Nahl - (The Bee) - 16

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in God from Satan the outcast)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.
(In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

وَمَآ أَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْكَ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ إِلَّا لِتُبَيِّنَ لَهُمُ ٱلَّذِى ٱخْتَلَفُوا۟ فِيهِ وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةًلِّقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ 64

64.  And We have revealed the Scripture unto thee only that thou mayst explain unto them that wherein they differ, and (as) a guidance and a mercy for a people who believe.

64.  Wa  maaa  ‘anzalNaa  ‘alay-kal-  Kitaaba  ‘illaa  li-tubayyina  lahumul-lazikh-talafuu  fiihi,  wa  hudanw-wa  rahmatal-liqaw-miny-yu’-minuun.

      

Commentary

With effect from when the mankind began to think, this question always came before him: Who is the Creator of this entire world? Who did put and decorate everything in order into the universe? Who is its Protecting Guardian and Patron? Who did create the mankind? Who did give him sense and understanding? Who does drive him away and after death where does he go? Who did make Laws and Rules? And Who does give or pass an Order etc.?

Allah Almighty sent His Prophets and Messengers (peace be upon them) in the world and commanded to them: Say to the people! Only I am The Creator, The Educator and Protecting Guardian of this world, and My Own Command is carried out everywhere. These are the Epithets of Mine. Therefore, you should believe in Me, worship Me and you should not attribute any partners with Me.

It has been described in this verse: O Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him)! We have sent you at the end of all Messengers (peace be upon them), appointing you as the last Messenger unto the entire people, and revealed unto you the last Scripture, name of which is (Holy) Qur’an. Purpose of its descending is that the matters; in which the people differ since long, and in spite of it that ancient Prophets (peace be upon them) caused to understand them, but Satan (by his influence) did not let it repulse, a short and decisive answer of those matters should be given clearly, and the root of the dispute should be disconnected for always.

Now, if even then, many people do not believe, then you should neither grieve and nor be afflicted. This Scripture will be proved as a source of guidance for those who will believe in it wholeheartedly, and they will dwell in this world and in the Hereafter (at both places) with peace and ease.
