Lesson

When something has no real value in the heart of an individual, he cannot succeed in maintaining every time its artificial value. Natural condition of his heart will change now or then. Some Hypocrites, who moved along with Muslims with unwilling heart for the Battle of Tabuuk, they began to say in the way: Behold this Person {Muhammad (SallAllaahu alayHi wa AaliHii Wasallam)}! He has strut (Let us flee to God) as much after getting the upper hand over a little area of the Arab territory that; now He (SallAllaahu alayHi wa AaliHii Wasallam) is going to conquer the fine cities and the people of Syria and Rome. How can these a few inexperienced Muslims conquer, who offer prayers and recite Qur’aan every time, who have not faced any war against any big nation; like brave and bold soldiers of Syrian and Roman Armies, who engage themselves regularly in wars and get victory over countries.

This news of their mischief reached the Messenger (SallAllaahu alayHi wa AaliHii Wasallam). He called them and asked: What does it mean that you discourage our people by telling such lies? The same has been described in these verses. It is commanded: O Messenger (SallAllaahu alayHi wa AaliHii Wasallam)! They reply you quickly when You ask them! O Prophet (SallAllaahu alayHi wa AaliHii Wasallam)! We don’t say these things heartily; these are only gossips for amusing in the way.

Allah Almighty commands: O Messenger (SallAllaahu alayHi wa AaliHii Wasallam)! Ask them: Were you mocking at God Almighty, His Apostle (SallAllaahu alayHi wa AaliHii Wasallam) and His Revelations? Such excuses and justification of yours are useless. You used to say yourselves believers. How can you remain Muslims after uttering such blasphemies? Certainly you will be punished for it.

Those hypocrites, who were neither arrogant and nor they spread any mischief publicly, they will be let go for a few days. But those who have been sowing the seed of disturbance openly, it is sure that they will be punished for their crimes. They will never be saved.
