Lesson # 808 from the Noble Quran

Hand over the wealth of orphan when he reaches maturity

Surah ‘Al-‘An-‘aam (Cattle) – Chapter – 6)–Stage - 2

Verse –152a of 165, Section – 19 of 20 (Part - 8)

BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

And approach not the wealth of the orphan save with that which is better, till he reach maturity. And give full measure and full weight, in justice. We take not any soul beyond its scope. And if ye give your word, do justice thereunto, even though it be (against) a kinsman.
Wa  laa  taqrabuu  maalal-yatiimi  ‘illaa  billatii  hiya  ‘ahsanu  hattaa  yab-luga  ‘a-shuddah.  Wa  ‘aw-ful-kayla  wal-miizaana  bil-qist.  Laa  Nukallifu  naf-san  ‘illaa  wus-‘ahaa.  Wa  ‘izaa  qultum  fa’-diluu  wa  law  kaana  zaa-  qurbaa.

Lesson

It is commanded that you should not go near the wealth of any orphan. However, as long he is a child, neither can he think and nor decide as how to spend, till then, his that guardian, under whose control he lives, can spend his wealth carefully in those matters, which are profitable for the orphan, and to fulfill his necessities. The patron can invest this wealth in any profitable business, but when the orphan becomes mature and able to understand about profit and loss of the wealth, then his wealth should be given in his control and help him with good advice.

After that, it is commanded also that you should take care regarding weight and measure in dealings so that the right of any person not to be less and every rightful owner may get that, which is his right in justice.

Allah Almighty commands: We do not put any soul in labor more than its strength of endurance. Therefore, you should bear it in mind that you should take care in case of justice, whenever you are going to give your word or decide among the people. You should do justice even though it be against your any kinsman or friend.

It means that neither can you gain unlawfully from anyone and nor any of your close relative, servant, friend etc. has any right to trespass in any matter and nor you can side unreasonably with your relative or friend in any matter.

It is known from this verse that certainly some toil exists in the prescribed Religion of Allah Almighty, but it is not such labor, which may be out of control of the human being. Every individual can move on the Religion of Allah Almighty in good manner and can obey His Commands according to his/her strength. So the only matter is that the individual would have to obey the Law of Allah Almighty, whereas its benefits are too much in this world, as well as in the Hereafter that this a little toil does not have any fact for that main Benefit.
