A common Message for all mankind

Surah YUUNUS - 10 (JONAH)

BisMillaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim

In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Lesson

This shows that the world has to keep up for the purpose that the Invitation of Allah Almighty should reach each corner, and every individual should listen to it. Holy Qur’aan is a Common Invitation for entire human beings of the world. It is a declaration of this Invitation. Allah Almighty has given this work under the trust of His last Messenger (grace, blessings and peace be upon Him), that He should convey this Message of Invitation everywhere. He (grace, blessings and peace be upon Him) delivered the Message unto all those people who were close to Him and caused to understand them with complete explanation.

After that, Messenger of Allah Almighty (grace, blessings and peace be upon Him) taught the Muslims Holy Qur’aan and method of acting upon its Commandments practically, and made over this responsibility to them, that they should transmit the Message of God Almighty i.e. Holy Qur’aan in the entire world, and cause to know the people its meanings in detail by their word and deed. First duty of the Muslims is that they should try to establish such environment that the world should remain standing with Peace and Safety, and the people may gain so much opportunity that they may hear the Message of Allah Almighty.

First stage of Islam is to establish Peace and spread reciprocal fellow feeling, and draw intention of every human being to this side that they listen to the Message of God Almighty and learn the manners of mutual cooperation, sympathy and morality like the Muslims. It is compulsory for the Muslims that they should produce such manners before the world which Holy Qur’aan has taught them and example of which they have learnt from the conduct and behavior of the Messenger (grace, blessings and peace be upon Him) and His Companions (May Allah be pleased with them), otherwise it will be considered that they have not completed their duty of conveying the Message.

Allah Almighty gave the Muslims Empire, but only for the purpose that they should produce practical pattern of living before the world according to the Laws of Islam, and finish the breach of the peace and the tyranny. If they succeeded in establishing government over any country, they should use their authority for setting to right and welfare of the inhabitants of that country. Being rulers they should not only be addicted to pleasure and should never think “How the people should be used and enjoy with their earnings?”

When the inhabitants of a country would have learned well the ways of mutual cooperation, using their sense independently, and establishing peace and safety in the country, then the Muslims should search any other field for their acts; and engage for conveyance of the Message of God’s Invitation. They should get themselves ready every time for the reason that if any group transgresses against a country, they should reach immediately to help those who are treated wrongfully and unjustly, and “Nip the evil in the bud”.

In short, first work of the Muslims is to establish Peace and Safety in the world, so that the people should not destroy their beloved lives by entangling in useless disputes. Moreover, whosoever desires to hear the Message of God Almighty, should be free, may accept His Invitation happily. Death, life and fight of the Muslims are only for a cause that they should call the people with their tongue, deeds and behavior, softly and with grace unto hearing the Word of Allah Almighty.
