Lesson
‘Aa-manuu – (the person, who believed). ‘Aaminuu – (Believe in). The first word has been used
for ‘the past tense’ and in the second word; it is being commanded ‘to have
belief’. Base of both words is ‘Iimaan
(Belief), which means, “To accept any fact with tongue and believe in it heartily.
The Believers are being commanded to believe, it aims, O people! (who admit with
tongue) Bring Faith also into being heartily and believe purely.
Nazzala – (revealed), its origin is Tanziil, which means ‘to alight slowly
and tenderly', as ’the Holy Qur’aan was
revealed in about twenty three years tenderly and slowly’. ‘Anzala – (revealed), its root is the word ‘anzaal, which means ‘revealed all at
once’, as all other heavenly Scriptures were revealed all at once.
It was commanded in
the previous verse, “Speak the truth, and cooperate with the justice (whether
that is against anyone). But these entire matters are impossible until the
Belief is weak and the Faith is not perfect. Therefore, it is being instructed
that you should believe in Allaah
Almighty heartily. Mere words are not useful.
Along-with it, believe
in the Scripture of Allaah Almighty,
Holy Qur’aan also whole-heartedly as a
True Holy Book, and have faith heartily in that, which is written in it and act
according to its instructions. Have belief too in those Scriptures as true Holy
Books of Allaah Almighty, which were
revealed before Holy Qur’aan. However,
only those commands of old Scriptures are actionable, which have been sustained
by this Last Scripture i.e. Holy Qur’aan.
Other entire matters, which are held into them, have not remained actionable at
this time. It is necessary now to act upon Holy Qur’aan, the Last Scripture. Because all good matters, which were
in those Scriptures, have been mentioned in It.
The person, who will
not believe in Allaah Almighty, His
Angels and Messengers (peace be upon Them), His Scriptures and the Day of
Resurrection, his/her belief will not be acceptable. He/she should not consider
sufficient claim of belief by tongue only, but they should strengthen their
faith in Allaah Almighty and entire
others, which have been described and obey each Order of Allaah Almighty.
