Commentary

It was commanded in the previous verse that strength and weakness, difference in Belief, prosperity and adversity will remain in the world and the mankind will be examined by these all, that; whether he can keep correct his morality or otherwise.

It has been commanded in this verse that if Allah Almighty willed, He was Able to make the entire mankind of one kind. Condition of all would be the same and their Beliefs also would be the same. But nay, it was demand of His Philosophy that among the human beings, people should be of different thoughts. In accordance with this Philosophy, some of them should be sent astray and some should be guided unto the Straight Path. The Astray people and the Way-finders, Disbelievers and Believers (all) should live in the world. No one should trouble any other. Their mutual conduct should be well-mannered. They should bear their mutual agreements in mind and should not slay morality for temporary benefits. They should not quarrel with one another due to difference of opinions. Entire works of human beings will be judged on the Day of Resurrection. Rough accounts of all – “Believers and Disbelievers, people of good conduct and bad conduct, those who chose the right path and those who went astray” will be opened on that Day. And then they will be asked: Explain! What did you do in the world? Why were you involved in wicked deeds? Why did you not do good works?
