Commentary

It was commanded in the verse of previous lesson that every useful matter has been explained in this Scripture i.e. Holy Qur’an. In this verse, those entire matters have been mentioned in few words; on which; welfare of the humankind depends.

It is commanded that the mankind should bear three points in mind at the time of conducting with oneself and other people:

1.   Justice.

2.   Pity and humanity.

3.   Giving charity.

And he should save himself from three matters:

1.   Immodesty.

2.   Misconduct and unbecoming behavior.

3.   Tyranny and oppression.

Moreover, doing good and refraining from wicked deeds should be with the intention that it is commandment of Allah Almighty. It is the Message of Islam which it desires to convey to the entire people of the world. It would be remembered to every that person who listens to the sermon of Friday that every Preacher (Khatiib) recites the above mentioned verse at the end of second Sermon. It has been described in this verse that every individual should adopt middling way in every matter. They should be saved from excess and loss. Neither they should go beyond the limit and nor keep back from the limit. They should compassionate on every living being and show regard everywhere. That should be given to any other needy; which is surplus to own requirement. It has been mentioned in the verse that the thing more than necessity should be given to any close relative.

It has been described at the end also that this verse is being caused to hear you in order that you should understand your rights and responsibilities, and remember it every time that what you have to do and what you have to give up.
