Commentary
‘Al-mustabiinu – (clear, explicit, clarifying), its meanings are same as
of the word “mubiin”.
For frightening the people from the nature of the consequence of
evil deeds, Prophets (peace be upon them) were sent by Allaah Almighty
from time to time, who conveyed His Messages to His slaves. Circumstances of
Noah and Abraham from them (peace be upon them) have been described earlier.
Now there is mention concerning two more Prophets who were from the descendants
of Isaac, the second son of Abraham (peace be upon them).
It is commanded: These two Prophets {Moses and Aaron (peace be
upon them) came for causing to understand the rebellious Pharaoh of Egypt that
he should refrain from his refractoriness. But he did not care and began to
trouble the Children of Israel more than earlier. They both suffered from him
very much, even that they and their people were confused so much. At last, Allaah
Almighty helped them and they got victory on their enemy. Their folk were
released from calamities.
It is commanded: We gave them the
explicit Scripture; in which there was clear guidance toward the Straight Path.
They both followed Our Instructions, but the people disobeyed Our Commandments
and at last they were punished. They will deserve the torment of the Day of
Resurrection too. (Let us flee to God).
