Only Preaching Is The Duty Of Prophet

LESSON # 340 FROM HOLY  QUR’AN

Only Preaching Is The Duty Of Prophet

Surah ‘Aali ‘Imran (The Family Of ‘Imran, Chapter - 3)
Verse – 20  of  200, Section –2    (Part – 3)

And if they argue with thee, (O Muhammad), say: I have surrendered my purpose to Allah and (so have) those who follow me. And say unto those who have rejected the Scripture and those who read not: Have ye (too) surrendered? If they surrender, then truly they are rightly guided, and if they turn away, then it is thy duty only to convey the message (unto them). And Allah is Seer of (His) bondmen.
Fa-‘in  haaajjuuka  faqul  ‘as-lamtu  wajhiya  lillaahi  wa  manittaba-‘an.  Wa  qullillaziina  ‘uutul-Kitaaba  wal-‘ummiy-yiina  ‘a-‘aslamtum.  Fa-‘in  ‘as-lamuu  faqadih-tadaw.  Wa  ‘in-tawal-law  fa-‘innamaa  ‘alay-kal-balaag.  Wallaahu  Basiirum-  bil-‘ibaad.

Lesson

‘al-‘ummiy-yiina(those who can not read, illiterate persons), here it aims the Idolaters of Al-Makkah, who did not know about the Heavenly Scriptures. Thus, except some counted persons all habitants of this sacred city were illiterate and ignorant.

‘al-balaag(to convey (the message), intent from this word is to comfort the Messenger of Allah Almighty (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him), that “if these people do not believe, then you should not be thoughtful. Your job is to convey the message and invite only. It is not your responsibility to cause them to believe”.

The followers of the Scripture used to wrangle that “we are also Muslims”. They are being described in this verse that likewise hypothetical Islam is useless. Islam is that, which is held with the Last Messenger of Allah Almighty (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) and his followers ((may Allah Almighty be pleased upon them). That is to say, the humankind should handover himself to Islam with the whole. Look at Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace of Allah Almighty be upon him), the refugees (Muhajirin) and habitants of Al-Madinah (Ansaar) (may Allah Almighty be pleased upon them). They sacrificed themselves, their wealth, children and wives, to the extent their entire desired and beloved things for the pleasure of Allah Almighty confronting the polytheism, immorality, wickedness and tyranny. Their eyes wait each time for the command of Allah Almighty that no sooner they receive any order, than they obey it. Contrary to them, look at yourselves; while you are alone, you accept that the Messenger of Allah Almighty (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) is on the right path. Nevertheless, you think, “if we believe in his Messenger-hood, the wealth and property of the world is snatched”. Anyhow, after knowing the truth if you will not believe, that is your will, we have already believed.

After that the Idolaters are told, “Have you surrendered too or ready to surrender? If you surrender even now, then truly you are rightly guided, and if you turn away, then it is our duty only to preach Islam, to teach you distinction between good and bad, and to convey the message of Allah Almighty unto you. Allah Almighty knows internal and external circumstances of all”.

Reason Of Difference

LESSON # 339 FROM HOLY  QUR’AN

Reason Of Difference

Surah ‘Aali ‘Imran (The Family Of ‘Imran, Chapter - 3)
Verse – 19b  of  200, Section –2    (Part – 3)

Those who (formerly) received the Scripture differed only after knowledge came unto them, through transgression among themselves. And whoso disbelieveth the Revelations of Allah (will find that) lo! Allah is Swift at reckoning.
Wa  makhtalafal-laziina  ‘uutul-Kitaaba  ‘illaa  mim-  ba’-di  maa  jaaa-‘ahumul-‘ilmu  bagyam-  baynahum.  Wa  many-yakfur  bi-  ‘Aayaatillaahi  fa- ‘in-nallaaha  Sarii- ‘ul-hisaab.

Lesson

It has been manifested in the previous lesson that Islam is a bright and clear Truth. From which kind of arguments Messenger-hood of Prophet Moses, Jesus (peace be upon them), Torah and Gospel as Heavenly Scripture can be proved, better than it, strong and live proofs exist regarding Messenger-hood of Prophet Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace of Allah Almighty be upon him) and The Word Of Allah i.e Holy Qur’an. But their own Scriptures are giving evidence about the truth of Last Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace of Allah Almighty be upon him).

Oneness of God Almighty is an obvious and understood subject. Contrary to Oneness, Ideology of Father and Son (God and Jesus) is only a meaningless thing. No scientific principle corroborates it. Now those persons, who believe in any one of the four Inspired Holy Books of Allah Almighty, falsify these conspicuous facts. If due to enmity of Islam they disobey the commands of Allah Almighty, then what can we say more about them that they are doing so due to only opposite, envy, obstinacy, greediness of rank and grandeur.

The dissension took place between the Christians and Jews or many sects raised out of them. Then the adversity put to end on reciprocal terrifying quarrels and wars. The history tells that its purpose was not only misunderstanding or ignorance. But at most times these sectarian contradictions grew due to love of wealth and property.

Those people who deny the orders of Allah Almighty, their punishment has also been told, that is to say; Allah Almighty will reckon these bad acts and mischief. And He will punish them severely. They will have to face the punishment in this world as well as on the Day of Resurrection.

Cause of such severe punishment is their enmity and disobedience. Woe is me that they differed at that time when the Knowledge came before them and the Reality disclosed. They did not join the truth when the reality was clear. But they opposed also the just due to only mutual opposite and enmity. The verses of Allah Almighty came before them, but they closed their eyes and went to the path of infidelity and denial. They forgot that, “Allah is Swift at reckoning”.

Real Religion Is Islam

LESSON # 338 FROM HOLY  QUR’AN

Real Religion Is Islam
Surah ‘Aali ‘Imran (The Family Of ‘Imran, Chapter - 3)
Verse – 19a  of  200, Section –2    (One Half of Part – 3)

Lo! religion with Allah (is) the Surrender (Al-Islam) (to His Will and Guidance).
‘Innad-Diina  ‘indallaahil-  ‘Islaam.

Lesson

‘al- ‘Islaam( believing in the religion of Allah, obedience), literal meaning of Islam is ‘to deliver oneself over’. Due to this respect this religion causes to say Islam, because a Muslim affirms to bow his neck before the orders of Allah Almighty and entrust himself completely to One Most High God Almighty, as though Islam is the name of “Accepting” and Muslim-hood (Mussulmani) as “Obedience).

  DiinunThis word has two meanings,
a. Retaliation
b. Religion

It means that method of meditation and action which is foundation for consideration and deeds of a person and nation. The Way of life which Allah Almighty has liked for His servants (Human beings), that is Islam, that is to say; subjection and obedience, whose perfect and last form clarifies in the world by Prophet Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace of Allah be upon him).

In reality, all former Prophets (peace be upon them) brought the same religion named Islam. But in this regard which perfect in all respect, collective and universal commands and guidelines have been delivered by the last Messenger of Allah Almighty (grace, glory, blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), those have preference in many ways from ancient religious laws. Therefore, these were called with the name of Islam in a special color. However, it has been proclaimed in this verse before specially Christians of Syria (Najraan) and commonly before the entire world that religion is only the name of one thing, that is, the person should surrender himself to Allah Almighty whole heartedly, and whatever order is delivered by Him, he should obey it without any hesitation.

Now those people who say the Prophet Jesus Christ (peace be upon him) as son of Allah Almighty (Let us flee to Allah), eat pork, slaughter the Prophets (peace be upon them), try to remove the true religion despite the good news from Prophet Moses and Jesus (peace be upon them), envy the true Prophet (glory, grace, blessings and peace be upon them), Have these people any right to say themselves followers of religion of Abraham (peace be upon them)?

For perfect example good attitude of Prophet Abraham (peace be upon him), auspicious lives of Prophet Christ and Moses (peace be upon them) and in the last, very sacred life of last Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) are complete role models for the humankind. Banishment of Prophet Abraham (peace be upon him), opposing Nimrud, leaving alone his (peace be upon them) innocent child and wife in the wilderness and without water valley for pleasure of Allah Almighty, being prepared to sacrifice his (peace be upon them) son Ishmael in the Way of Allah Almighty. All these things enlighten his (peace be upon him) activeness for pleasure of Allah Almighty.

Enduring torture of enemies of God Almighty by the Messenger of Islam (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him), migrating from his native land, fighting in the Path of Allah Almighty, clarify perfect subjection and obedience. These are the great and holy persons, who are imitable for human beings in all respect and to follow them is called Islam and obedience. May Allah Almighty make us able to do so. Aameen.

Evidence Regarding Divinity Of Allah

LESSON # 337 FROM HOLY  QUR’AN

Evidence Regarding Divinity Of Allah

Surah ‘Aali ‘Imran (The Family Of ‘Imran, Chapter - 3)
Verse – 18  of  200, Section –2    (Part – 3)

Allah (Himself) is witness that there is no God save Him, and the angels and the men of learning (too are witness), maintaining His creation with justice. There is no God save Him the Almighty, the Wise.
Shahi-dallaahu  ‘anna-Huu  laaa  ‘ilaaha  ‘illaa  Huwa-wal-malaaa-‘ikatu  wa  ‘ulul-‘ilmi  qaaa-‘imam-  bil-qist.  Laaa  ‘ilaaha  ‘illaa  Huwal-‘Aziizul-Hakiim.

Lesson

Shahi-dallaahu(Allah is witness), this evidence of Allah Almighty has been using to come regularly in the Heavenly Scriptures. Besides this, every particle of the universe is testifying that none is worthy of worship save Lord of the entire worlds. Testimony of Divine’s Scriptures has prestige of written evidence and the entire things of earth and sky (universe) provide reasonable evidence. As though, both types of proofs exist (logical and written).

al-malaaa-‘ikatu  - (Angles), it means that the Angles (peace be upon them) also testify that none is worthy of worship save Allah Almighty. As though it has been cleared too that the Angels (themselves) (peace be upon them) sing the songs of Oneness of Allah Almighty, who are considered by the Idolater Nations as gods and goddesses.

‘ulul-‘ilmi  - (the men of learning, the educated, the scholars), ‘ilm means to know and understand. Knowledge is not only the name of learning the letters and reading the books, but it is the name of knowing the facts of things and cognition of the reality. Either it is by meditation or by experiments and observations. Therefore, ‘ulul-‘ilmi means those educated people who have capability to know about the facts and ability to recognize.

In the beginning of this verse, Christians of Syria (Najraan) were addressed, and it was proclaimed in a very well manner about Oneness of God and by proving to be wrong the faith of divinity of the Christ.  Other matters were also discussed at that time which prevent from believing in Oneness of Allah Almighty, for example, wealth, children and the things of luxurious enjoyment. Then attributes of the Believers were described, who remain firm on Right despite all these obstacles. After this, discussion about Oneness has begun again.

What difficulty can be occurring to believe in Oneness while Allah Almighty (Himself) is witness through His work (Nature) besides His Scriptures that only He is worthy to be worshiped. Besides this His Angles (peace be upon them) and the men of learning also testify about Oneness of Allah Almighty. Not having belief in Oneness and standing firm on belief in a plurality of Allah is clearly Ignorance.

Allah Almighty has explained by telling His Virtue, “qaaa-‘imam-  bil-qist” (maintaining His creation with justice) that the talk about Expiation by Christians is untrue, because how can it be possible that only one person is settled responsible for the sins of the entire community and he causes to be released them all by being punished alone. On the contrary, Allah Almighty maintains His creation with justice. He will confer complete retaliation of the acts (good or bad) of each person.

Good Manners Of The Pious

LESSON # 336 FROM HOLY  QUR’AN
Good Manners Of The Pious

Surah ‘Aali ‘Imran (The Family Of ‘Imran, Chapter - 3)
Verse – 16 & 17  of  200, Section –2    (Part – 3)

16.  Those who say: Our Lord! Lo! we believe, so forgive us our sins and guard us from the punishment of Fire.

17.  The steadfast, and the truthful, and the obedient, and those who spend (and hoard not), and those who pray for pardon in the watches of the night.
16.  ‘Allaziina  yaquuluuna  Rabbaanaaa  ‘innanaaa  ‘aamannaa-  fagfir-lanaa  zunuubanaa  wa  qinaa  ‘azaaban-Naar.

17.  ‘As-Saabiriina  was-Saadi-qiina  wal- Qaanitiina  wal-Munfiqiina  wal-Mustagfiriina  bil- ‘as-haar.

Lesson

bil- ‘as-haar(in the watches of the night), Sahar is the time when darkness of night mingles with the light of dawn. This last part of night has the characteristic that particularly this time is the time for satisfying and awakening of the spiritual powers, although it is difficult for oneself to awake at that time.

Virtues of those people have been described in the verse who were called the pious persons and “those who keep away from evil, with their Lord, are Gardens underneath which rivers flow wherein they will abide for ever, and pure companions, and goodwill of Allah”. These good manners are appended below:

1.   These people use to become pattern of humility and meekness instead of being proud and arrogance on their piety and sobriety. They always pray from Allah, “O Lord, forgive our sins and save us from the Fire of Hell”.

2.   These people remain in patience. Whenever they are put in an exam, they beg from Allah Almighty to bestow them constancy and steadfastness.

3.   These people are honest in their sayings, heart and intentions. They are pure in matters, straightforward, abstinent from lie, deceit and hypocrisy.

4.   They remain stick to obey the commands of Allah Almighty despite undergoing through very hardships; avoid committing evils and hating from wrong acts and sins.

5.   They spend from the wealth given by Allah Almighty on His determined times, do not be stingy and miser. They take part actively in charitable donations and do not waste any situation of goodness.

6.   They pray for pardon of their sins and errors from their Lord awakening in the last part of night. That is to say; they spend last part of night in worship and likewise they remain seekers of forgiveness of sins sincerely.

We should try to create these qualities inside ourselves so that we may also join the pious people and could deserve blessings of Allah Almighty.

Compensation For The God-fearing

LESSON # 335 FROM HOLY  QUR’AN

Compensation For The God-fearing

Surah ‘Aali ‘Imran (The Family Of ‘Imran, Chapter - 3)
Verse – 15  of  200, Section –2    (Part – 3)

Say: Shall I inform you of something better than that? For those who keep away from evil, with their Lord, are Gardens underneath which rivers flow wherein they will abide for ever, and pure companions, and goodwill of Allah. And Allah is Seer of His Bondmen.
Qul  ‘a-‘unabbi-‘ukum  bi-khayrim-min-  zaalikum.  Lil-laziinat-taqaw  ‘inda  Rabbihim  Jannaatun  tajri  min-  tahtihal-  ‘anhaaru  khaalidiina  fiihaa  wa  ‘azwaajum-mutah-haratunw-wa  rizwaanum-minal—laah.  Wal-laahu  Basiirum- bil-‘ibaad.

Lesson

‘a-‘unabbi-‘ukum(Shall I inform you?), this word has come out from the word nabaa’ which means the News. Word Nabii is also made out of it, literal meaning of which is ‘an informer’.

mutah-haratun(pure, neat), that is to say; innocent, pure and clean from each type of corporeal nastiness and filth.

That abode and its characteristics have been described in this lesson, which was mentioned in the previous verse. Allah Almighty says that best of the blessings is reserved for the Abstinent. All excellence of Hereafter are for them only.

Blessings of the world like wealth, children, husbandry and livestock all are fickle and inconstant. These are to be neither trusted nor reliable. To exult into them and make purpose of life to achieve these things after forgetting Allah Almighty is not wise. The benefit should be reaped according to Divine Law and remaining within the boundaries. One should be afraid of the disobedience of Allah Almighty always and His anguish, and should adopt the way of God fearing, because Allah Almighty has promised for those righteous people to give them such a beautiful Garden, in which there will be cold and sweet water flows. They will find there good and pious wives, and life of eternity. Best of all they will get pleasure and consent of Allah Almighty, with which they will get satisfaction of their hearts, comfort and happiness. Only Abstinent people would be able to get these blessings.

At last, Allah Almighty related, that He watches every person’s intention and acts. Nothing even the most little thing is not hidden from Him. Therefore, we should be careful, pass our lives righteously and hope for getting reward of our goods acts.

Love Of The Beautiful Things

LESSON # 334 FROM HOLY  QUR’AN
Love Of The Beautiful Things

Surah ‘Aali ‘Imran (The Family Of ‘Imran, Chapter - 3)
Verse – 14  of  200, Section –2    (Part – 3)

Beautified for mankind is love of the joys (that come) from women and offspring; and stored-up heaps of gold and silver, and horses branded (with their mark), and cattle and land. That is provision of the life of the world. And Allah! With Him is a more excellent abode.
Zuyyina  linnaasi  hubbush-shahawaati  minan-nisaaa-‘i  wal-baniina  wal-qanaatiiril- muqan-tarati  minazzahabi  wal-fizzati  wal-khay-lil- musawwamati  wal-‘an-‘aami  wal-hars.  Zaalika  mataa-‘ul-hayyatid-dunyaa.  Wallaahu  ‘indahuu  husnul-ma-‘aab.

Lesson

Zuyyina  linnaasi(beautified for the humankind), it has been told in this verse that love, inclination and attraction of these things is a natural matter and in itself there is no sin. However, advantage from these things should be reaped remaining in the subjection of the orders of Divine and their love should be kept limited in the lawful limits.

hubbush-shahawaati(love of the joys), shahawaat signifies here towards desirable and pleasant things. In this manner it means “Wishes and desires”.

mataa-‘ul-hayyatid-dunyaa(provision of the life of the world), it intends that all these types of things are not able to be amused very much. These should not be formed as purpose of life. These are useful only in this world. The world is transitory and its all arrangements are mortal also.

Allah Almighty has affirmed that some worldly things have attraction from His Side naturally for the human being. Humankind likes these things very much. But many people involve themselves in them so much that they forget their Creator, their Lord. There is no sin in itself to value these things. These are compulsory things for living in the world. It is not bad to reap benefit from them but care is necessary that inclination towards them should not be more than necessity. Because doing so the human being will become overjoyed into them. Slowly he will consider them purpose of life and forget his goal. He will miss the right path.

It should be borne in mind that these things are transitory. These are useful only in the world. Relationship with them will cut immediately after death. Therefore, one should arrange also for the Day of Resurrection keeping them at their correct place. Real Abode is there (after death) and permanence is for that life.
