Lesson

Prophet Lot (peace be upon Him) made the people of Sodom to understand and at that time He said: You commit abomination such as no creature ever did before you. The Commentators felt the need of finding out: How this evil had begun and how the attention of human being was engaged towards this absurd and bad act?

The tracers of the human history told them that the land of Sodom and in its surroundings was a fertile territory. Gardens of fruit were with huge abundance. There was no deficiency of the commodities of food and the people lived in very easy circumstances. They used to fulfill their every desire freely and thoughtlessly. It is easy to incline the prosperous and thoughtless people towards the sexual gratification.

Satan, who remains in search of occasions every time to `ruin the humankind, got very good opportunity to seduce. He drew attention of the people towards the means of boiling up carnal appetite by turning their thoughts from good works and hobbies. And they began to remain engaged in the matters of getting excited their hot. Although, such thought could not be produced in their hearts regarding unnaturally destruction of the essence of a man. It is said that the Devil misled them by means of an unusual trick and arranged to remove the human race from its foundation.

The trouble was that the man got ready to destroy himself in such way. His sense did not work. Neither he could think that it was a vicious and obscene act and nor there was any chance to draw his attention towards its fatal results. Everyone knows that bad work spreads like fire and dust storm. And whosoever comes in their striking, they leave it burnt or throw on the ground with violence. The people of Sodom came in the trick of Satan and arranged for themselves to be ruined. We should learn many useful lessons from it:

·       Such kind of obscene act cannot be thought by the mankind at its own, until the Devil misguides him by means of any new way. Therefore, we should continue to try to be saved from our ancient enemy.

·       Trick of the Devil operates upon the young, thoughtless and bellyful people immediately, so the young should remain engaged every time in useful hard works. They should bear in mind always that He (Allah Almighty) is looking them every time Who created them in this world and Who has bestowed these entire favors, and at the end, He will take an account from everyone that: Whether Our given powers and things for pleasure and enjoyment have been used properly or otherwise? He (God Almighty) will punish the evil doers.

·       Excess and greed should not be in eating. One should remain away from lustful thoughts, hobbies, games and disgusting talks. One should practise; how to live during hunger. Every desire rises when it is raised up, and sets, when it is suppressed. Absurd words, abusive language, obscene songs, dancing, twisting and modulation, erotic novels and fables, and unreasonable eating and drinking are the things, which stir up the desire, so, one should be saved from them, otherwise, one will be ill-treated at the time of death and after death.

·       The human being cannot be satisfied in the world by fulfilling his desires badly. Passion ends in minutes and seconds, but after that, its bad results pursue closely in spite of everything, and become cause of torment always, without intention of true penitence and abstinence, and forthcoming pedigrees suffer the trouble due to their bad results.
