Lesson
The pattern of terrible agony has been described in
such a manner in this verse, which will be suffered by the disbelievers on the
Day of Resurrection, that dictation of any other cannot explain so much
beautifully, and that, there is none helper in the calamity save Allaah Almighty. So you should beg in
front of Him, if you want anything. That, which you will obtain, will be with
His Mercy. Everything is in His Power. No power has any other person that he
may do something for you.
It is commanded that if someone entangled in the punishment
(bodily pains, trouble, restlessness, distraction, perception of despair and helplessness
will bring the soul at the stage of half-dead), on the Day of Resurrection, it
will be very difficult for anyone to come out from it. There is none that can
relieve therefrom save Allaah Almighty.
It has been indicated in the verse that none can
save from the pain and hardship of the Day of Resurrection except Allaah Almighty. The person, who will be
saved, will escape only due to the Mercy of Allaah
Almighty. This matter will be manifested upon everyone on the Day of
Resurrection like the daylight, because when every person will observe one’s near
relatives, friends and familiars running away from oneself, will find them
fallen into “each one for itself”. Kinsmen and women, friends and familiars,
the teacher and the chief, the saint and the friends of God Almighty will
answer that “We are unable to do something”.
The people will report every Prophet and Messenger
(from Adam to Muhammad including Noah, Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, Moses,
David and Jesus (peace be upon Them) turn by turn, and request to help them.
Every Prophet and Messenger (peace be upon Them) will reply them that they cannot
help them. In the last, all of them will produce themselves in the court of
last Messenger, Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him). He (grace,
glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) will be present in the Court of Allaah Almighty and request, “I may
kindly be permitted to mediate and recommend the creature”.
On the Day of Resurrection, everyone will find entirely
powerless and helpless to the whole like Angels, Prophets and Messengers (peace
be upon Them), human beings, spiritual guides, Saints, lords and demons etc. (the
entire creatures). But by mentioning about that Day, Holy Qur’aan wishes to cause to engage the attention in this side that
everybody should understand today, in this world, and believe that all
above-mentioned are helpless and powerless save Allaah Almighty, and don’t beg for anything from anyone. Believing in
Allaah Almighty means, “you are sure
that none can do for you anything except Him”.
If the human being has such certain belief in this
world as he would be known on the Day of Resurrection, then it will be called “’Iimaan bil gayb” (Belief in the hidden
world), that is to say; to consider only Allaah
Almighty as one’s Doer and Supplier of the wants, and to supplicate only from
Him. The consequence of such belief will be that the Believer will be bestowed
with the deliverance from the punishment.
It is commanded that trouble, pain, calamity,
distress (the entire) is from the side of Allaah
Almighty. Neither has any person any power to hurt anyone but He, and nor
anyone can remove any detriment without Him. In the same manner, ease, pleasure
and goodness are also from His side. Neither anyone can cause to gain anyone save
Him, and nor can supply any want, because everything is in His Power. Without Him,
the whole are helpless and humble. But the stupid people of this time, ask His
servants to help at the time of difficulty, leaving Allaah Almighty. They have fixed many kinds of customs. They say, “the
help, which we want from the Prophets (peace be upon Them) and the Saints (‘Awli-yaa’) (may Allaah be merciful on Them) is for the purpose that none can climb
on the room without a stair. It is replied that obedience of the commands of Allaah Almighty is its stair, and He has
ordered that you should not call anyone for help except Him.
